Upshur Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full/part-time veterinarian to join our practice in Buckhannon, West Virginia!
Upshur Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned practices that has been a part of the community for over 30 years. We are looking to expand our services to Buckhannon and surrounding communities. Our hospital primarily sees cats and dogs for routine care and surgeries. Our typical caseload consists of scheduled appointments encompassing preventive care, management of chronic illness, routine injuries/illnesses, OVH/castration surgeries, dental cleanings, and mass removals. Patients requiring more advanced care or surgery are usually referred.

Upshur Veterinary Hospital has a fully furnished IDEXX in-house laboratory, digital radiograph, therapeutic laser, and Cornerstone software. Appointments hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 Monday - Wednesday and 9:00 am to 4:00 Thursday - Friday. No nights or weekends. After hour emergencies are referred to a local emergency hospital.

We offer a competitive salary (starting at $125,000) with a great work-life balance. Full-time is typically four days a week. Our benefit package includes health insurance, paid-time-off, annual CE allowance, liability insurance coverage, coverage of costs associated with licensure and professional memberships, and 401(k) with match. New grads are welcome.

Buckhannon allows you to live in a quiet country town but still have plenty of things to do. Check out some of the local activities: Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, Snowshoe Ski Resort, and Stonewall Jackson Resort and Lake. Nearby larger cities include Bridgeport/Clarksburg, WV (45 minutes) and Morgantown, WV (1 hour 15 minutes).
