Desert Forest Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic professional to join our team as a full-time Practice Manager. We are small, individually owned pet hospital with an emphasis on high-quality care and “country-vet” client service, and we have a tenured team that loves to have fun but can rally when the pressure rises.

• Oversight of hospital operations and flow of daily operations, including roles and responsibilities of all staff.
• Payroll.
• Organization and participation in the recruitment, hiring, and termination process.
• Encourage growth of team members and the practice as a whole.
• Developing and maintaining an employee schedule.
• Participate in monthly staff meetings.
• Knowledge of inventory, equipment, and drugs including; their function, proper handling, and quantities needed on hand, to ensure that hospital operations are efficient.

Qualified applicants will have the following traits & abilities:

• Possess confidence and self-promotion. Pursue continuing education as a Practice Manager. Communicate effectively with practice owners to improve staff efficiency, promote hospital growth, improve client experiences, and increase financial gains.
• Possess a strong understanding of veterinary business, including finance, budgets, payroll, and accounts receivable.
• Demonstrate creativity and adaptability for problem-solving
• Remain flexible with regards to schedule and responsibilities.

$40,000 - $80,000 based on experience.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Avimark
• Previous management and leadership experience
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License
