Job description
Reporting to the CIO, the Cybersecurity Operations Specialist is responsible for providing oversight and fostering an appropriate level of Cybersecurity maturity in Core Specialty ’s Operational Technology environments.
Key Accountabilities

Cloud user access control workflow management and governance.

Manage SaaS providers SSO connections and manage native SaaS access (manage the native accounts in SaaS providers, with and without SSO) educate and train staff on proper identity management and responsibilities.

Manage the Security Analysts that provide Privilege access to business applications.

Advance security analytic rules for security monitoring team.

Manage and optimize SOC II Azure compliance scores.

Provide Security Operations monitoring team incident investigation context on the data and information coming from Core Specialty Cloud Environments and Cyber Security Solutions.

Interface between Sec Ops and engineering teams for operational support for incidents and monitoring.

Own operating system policy settings and govern test patterns.

Govern and coordinate operating system patching cycles and monitor impact.

Govern security incident response plan and optimize with automation.

Coordinate with Architects to continually improve overall security posture for Core Specialty.

Support periodical security reviews, vulnerability assessments and remediation activities, identifying potential gaps and improvements.

Gather data and metrics to enable Cybersecurity KPI evaluation and identify improvements.

Support the definition of baseline and methodologies as well as requirements to protect environments at a central and local level, understanding specific facilities’ needs.

Identify improvement areas or possible developments of implemented Cybersecurity methodologies, processes and technologies, taking into account regional feedback

Provide recommendations to keep up to date the organization’s approach to monitor, identify, analyze, and correct activities.
Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related degree or equivalent years of experience
-
7+ years demonstrated cybersecurity experience
-
Strong understanding of cybersecurity risks, technical control implementation, and at least one industry standard cybersecurity frameworks (NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, etc.)

In-depth knowledge of cloud security architecture, including public, private, and hybrid models

Experience with a variety of native cloud security tools and platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

Experience with cloud governance tools

Expertise in infrastructure, system and application design and implementation using data, web, mobile, cloud, and open-source technologies

Knowledge of potential risks involved in workload transitions from on-premises to cloud
-
Experience evaluating, designing, implementing, optimizing, and documenting a comprehensive and extensive array of security technologies and processes, especially as related to cloud technologies

Capacity to work in a team environment, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
