Workplace Resource is searching for a Warehouse/Schedule Coordinator at our Colorado Springs location. The purpose of the Warehouse/Schedule Coordinator is to maintain the day-to-day tasks of the warehouse and maintain a schedule based on the requests for product at our customers’ sites. This hybrid role will support the Colorado Springs warehouse by completing shipping and receiving related tasks, and Colorado Springs scheduling based on needs of the customers and Install team.
What You'll Do
Scheduler
Scheduling based on the request types, including but not limited to; delivery, installation, reconfiguration of product and/or service labor at a customer’s site, according to the specifications of the project and staffing needs.
Organizes schedule by studying job order specifications and current schedule to meet the needs of active orders.
Verifying that all products have been received at the Colorado Springs warehouse prior to scheduled date.
Reviews each order to ensure all necessary information (clear scope of work (SOW), design drawings (if applicable), client contact information, installation information, team member order access, etc.) is included to complete the job to the customer’s expectations.
Distributes schedules and any applicable paperwork to installers.
Proactively communicates (via telephone/voice mail/text messaging or email) with the team member(s), sub-contractors, various departments, and customer contacts regarding setting up the time, number of workers that will be at a customer site, potential delays, changes to the scope, or any problems that may occur.
Coordinating travel and lodging for any out-of-town projects scheduled for the designated install team.
Warehouse
Perform various product receiving and locating responsibilities:
Physically unloading, sorting and palletizing furniture and related products.
Checking receipt of furniture and related products against the packing list/product list/product activity.
Checking all furniture and related products and packaging for any signs of damage.
Noting any discrepancies in the shipper’s Bill of Lading.
Notifying the work team of any discrepancies.
Finding and placing palletized furniture and related products in the appropriate location.
Performs various loading responsibilities:
Load truck(s) for daily deliveries with assistance from the Installation staff.
Properly secure the furniture and related products in the truck.
Kit and de-trash product to go out to customer sites.
Unloading Responsibilities:
Unload and remove all debris from returning truck(s) and dispose in the appropriate container(s) or location.
Remove all returned products on trucks from job sites and locate and track returned products in the warehouse.
Email the Sales team of returned product and determine final disposition of product.
Maintain an inventory of Workplace Resource owned equipment and supplies (panel carts, flat dollies, machine carts, totes, etc.) with both a hard copy and digital.
Operate all equipment, as well as train on equipment (stand-up hi-los, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) in a safe manner, ensuring that equipment is kept clean and free of debris.
Maintain & record equipment checked out to Installers/Movers.
Maintain a clean, safe work area, free from excess debris on floors, racks, and outside dock areas.
Complete paperwork necessary to locate furniture and related products inventory to be subsequently pulled for order fulfillment.
Properly record receipt of furniture and related products inventory for accurate data entry into the operating system.
What success will look like
A successful Warehouse/Schedule Coordinator will cultivate business relationships with other departments within Workplace Resource and provide positive and effective representation with internal and external customers of our business.
Educational and experience position requirements
A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
What we expect you already know
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; three to six months related experience and/or training, including warehouse duties; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Professional, technical, and functional expertise of office moving/relocation, office storage, office furniture product and sales processes.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Power Point using a laptop.
Possessing business acumen, understanding the overall office furniture industry and the company’s products and services, especially industry-specific solutions that can adapt to our customers’ unique needs.
Working in a similar position within the industry or related field.
Achieving and maintaining technical and professional proficiency relating to office furniture and product knowledge, shipping and receiving processes and procedures, inventory management, and forklift operations.
Ability to use a forklift and order picking equipment (certification can be provided).
Physical ability to load and unload boxes with a weight no more than 50 pounds individually or 100 pounds team lift as well as climb stairs, be on feet majority of the day, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling furniture and related products.
Possesses adaptability, flexibility, integrity, work commitment, and understands what it takes to do quality work in a fast-paced changing work environment.

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in Colorado.
Colorado Starting Salary: $22.00-$24.00 (Non-exempt, eligible for overtime)

Work Context
Mainly working indoors. Must be willing and prepared to work in all kinds of weather when loading or unloading products. The environment may be dusty and dirty. Hazards include working around forklifts and occasional exposure to caustic or toxic chemicals. Must be able to travel to various customer work sites and to company’s remote sites. Physical demands – Work is rated as heavy. Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and to operate a forklift. On feet most of the day, walking, etc. Must have good upper body strength to lift continuously 50 lbs. Visual acuity is a combination of near, far, depth perception, color vision and general field of visions. Fine motor skills to handle use of small hand tools. Mental abilities – Specialized knowledge in warehousing and construction. Ability to problem-solve and speak English to communicate with the customers and employees. Basic math skills to do measurements and some calculation of numbers. Ability to write simple communications.
