Shipper/Receiver
REQUIREMENTS:
- Work in a team environment.
- Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time.
- The Shipper/Receiver must show a willingness to go above and beyond for internal and external customers.
- 2 years of previous experience is required.
- A GED or High school diploma is required.
- Computer experience a must.
- Experience working with UPS, FedEx and other carries.
- International shipping is a plus.
- Must be able to lift items up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and step ladders.
- Drive fork lift and handle pallet jacks.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Job Description:
- Carry out daily receiving and shipping duties as per existing guidelines, do necessary packing for shipping and put away goods received, and carry out periodic daily cycle counts as per set guidelines.
- Ensure that the inventory accuracy is a high priority.
- Responsible for interacting with transporters and carrier companies as required.
- Responsible for unloading materials and merchandise from vendor, common carrier and company-owned trucks.
- Responsible for proper handling of materials and merchandise to minimize the potential for damage and injury.
- Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and clear work environment, free from trip hazards.
- May perform inventory reconciliation counting.
