WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

This position is responsible for the supervision of personnel & daily tasks associated with execution of material flows to support production schedules, order releases and shop-floor inventory transactions in compliance with Element Sciences inventory control policy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, organize, supervise, and participate in daily warehouse operations and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution orders and materials to production floor.

• Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workload to warehouse workers.

• Supervise the processing of inventory transactions; complete requisitions for needed materials to assure adequate stock levels.

• Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required; maintain inventory of items in the warehouse; file records as required; supervise the assembly of inventory reports and catalogs as required.

• Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary; assure proper and routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse vehicles and equipment.

• Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.

• Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures; ensure training for all team members are done in timely manner.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Manages the cycle count program in all inventory locations.

• Investigates and reconciles inventory variances in collaboration with cost accounting.

• Perform work with following physical demands:

• While standing, sitting and/or walking.

• Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching.

• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate and three years warehouse management or related experience.

• Self-motivated and the ability to work independently.

• Knowledgeable of warehousing and stock control methods and procedures.

• Knowledgeable of methods of receiving, inspecting, and issuing materials using ERP system.

• Knowledgeable of Warehouse operations, procedures, equipment, and terminology.

• Excellent Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.

• Ability to train, supervise and evaluate personnel.

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to plan and schedule work for team members.

• Ability to Maintain accurate records of stock transactions.

• Ability to read, interpret, apply, and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

• The salary for this exempt-level position will be based on experience and qualifications within an established pay range.

• Compensation Range $ 95,000 - $110,000.
