Warehouse Worker [Evenings Full-time] Syracuse
Job description
Our busy Syracuse Metal Service Center seeks a conscientious worker to join our team. Duties include order processing and package products for shipment to ensure error-free packaging, and accurate receiving and product inventory. Scheduled Monday-Thursday 1:00 – 9:30 PM and Friday 9:30 AM – 6PM (8-hour shifts), with a ½ hour unpaid lunch each day. Initial schedule for training and orientation may require some flexibility. Competitive wage range ($17.50 to $24.00 based on qualification) and generous benefits [PTO, PSL, Medical. Dental, Vision, etc. and retirement plan.]
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase orders, invoices, or other documents to verify accuracy of shipment.
- Unload incoming trucks and move products to proper staging areas using a forklift, pallet jack or crane. Accurately color code, catalog, log inventory, and put product away.
- Prepare orders for shipment by retrieving inventory and packaging appropriately for damage free delivery.
- Maintain a neat and clean work area by sweeping floors, disposing of cardboard, banding, or packing materials, and removing debris.
- Perform related duties as requested to meet department and or business objectives.
