This is an ON-SITE POSITION. Superior Tube is a manufacturing facility.

This position works Monday-Friday day shift position. However, must be able to work off-shirt hours at month end and work extended hours during first week of the month/quarter/year to close out the finances and accounting ledgers.

ACCOUNTANT:

Position will be responsible for financial closing, financial reporting, general accounting, and other Assist with month end, quarter end and year end closings. Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements. Support the month-end close, make journal entries, arrange chargebacks, notifications, reports and account reconciliations.

Other accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash transactions, credit card reconciliations and general ledger items.

Handle special accounting projects as assigned to support Superior Tube and the Specialty Metal Products Business Unit.

These tasks are to be completed in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and federal, state and local laws and regulations.

The position will work with the organization at all levels to gather information, produce various reports and ensure compliance with all corporate financial reporting requirements.

This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Will take relevant experience in lieu of degree.Must have 1-2 years of experience in Accounting/Finance.
Highly proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook) as well as General Leger software systems
Able to prioritize work and meet project and deadlines
Able to read/analyze financial related data and/or reports
Excellent analytical, problem solving and data-manipulation skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to comprehend verbal and written instructions and procedures
Capable of functioning in a multi-task environment.
