Your role at Clorox:
Join our team as Associate Director for the Care and Connection Brands! In this exciting and newly created role, you'll have the opportunity to lead, support, and drive our procurement strategies, including Cost, Supply Robustness, Innovation, and Sustainability. As a key player in delivering value for our spend portfolio, which includes both raw and pack materials, you'll help us achieve our goal of supporting $3.5b in sales.

As our Procurement Leader, you'll be responsible for building and developing a world-class organization that provides leadership and direction to a team of talented individuals. You'll lead the way in defining and implementing best practices, ensuring that our team is equipped with all the necessary technical skills to drive world-class results. You'll also lead the way in managing supplier performance, including onboarding new suppliers, evaluating and monitoring their performance, and developing action plans to improve their performance.

In addition to your core responsibilities, you'll act as a bridge between R&D and Procurement, ensuring that the needs and wants of the business are reflected in our category strategies and executed as planned. You'll also play a critical role in addressing short- and medium-term issues related to services and quality performance, leading root cause analysis processes to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead, support, and drive procurement strategies across the Care and Connection Brands, including Cost, Supply Robustness, Innovation, and Sustainability.
  • Actively support the design, execution, and implementation of procurement tools and techniques to deliver value, such as tendering activities across the portfolio of Raw and Pack Spend.
  • Lead the identification and execution of projects to improve value delivery across the spend portfolio.
  • Ensure resource allocation and monitor the implementation of projects.
  • Build and develop a world-class organization, providing leadership and direction to a team of 2 direct reports and 7 team members who lead spend categories in all technical skills to drive world-class results.
  • Define and implement best practices across the team.
  • Lead the activities related to managing supplier performance, including onboarding new suppliers, evaluating and monitoring supplier performance across a range of KPIs (Quality, Supply, Cost), and developing action plans to ensure continuous improvement performance across the supply base.
  • Lead the ongoing supplier governance and SRM.
  • Own the actions and plans crafted to address short- and medium-term issues related to Services and Quality Performance, ensuring business continuity is effective.
  • Lead the root cause analysis process to understand continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Act as the bridge between R&D and Procurement, ensuring the needs and wants of the business are reflected into the category strategies and executed as planned.
  • Support actions required to address P2P issues, such as payments and invoices.
What we look for:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
  • 8 years of supply chain experience in a global, matrixed environment.
  • 4 years of sourcing/procurement experience.
  • Experience operating in a manufacturing environment and sourcing direct materials (Packaging, Raw Materials).
  • 4 years of people management experience.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Institute for Supply Management (ISM) certification.
  • Strong leadership skills demonstrated by experience driving positive results through teams in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to drive change and breakthrough performance improvement across a team.
  • Commodity hedging (Resin and/or Oil), Cost Models/Should Cost/Clean Sheet, Negotiations, Contracts.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and analytical skills demonstrated through the ability to deliver financial results.
  • Communication skills at senior management level both internally and externally.
  • Experience managing and strategically influencing stakeholders and driving accountability.

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $138,100 - $277,400
–Zone B: $126,600 - $254,300
–Zone C: $115,100 - $231,200

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
