APPLIED CARD SYSTEMS, an affiliate of Roch Capital Inc., is hiring an Associate IT Project Manager who is responsible for leading small to medium sized projects and assisting efforts in larger projects. Reporting to the Manager, Project Management, the Associate IT Project Manager has responsibility for all aspects of planning, oversight and delivery of projects. The role interfaces directly with customers to understand the business process, determine solutions and improvements by analyzing current state and desired state, and gathering business requirements. The role is responsible for project deliverables, with an emphasis on quality, productivity, consistency and the timely completion of the project.

This position reports into the Glen Mills, PA Headquarters Monday - Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm

Essential Functions:

  • Apply project management methodologies to initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control and close projects to produce the requested solution.
  • Ownership of the project throughout the entire SDLC.
  • Utilize tools and adhere to processes provided by the Project Office to ensure that the requested project meets essential cost/benefit, resource and project scope thresholds.
  • Work collaboratively and proactively with the project team to reach goals and produce deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate escalation of issues to management.
  • Lead project progress meetings and document action items to share with team.
  • Track issues to resolution and action items to completion.
  • Prepare project status updates for all assigned projects.
  • Facilitate planning and execution of user acceptance testing and implementations.
  • Create and maintain project documents in compliance with the project management process.
  • Participate in JAD/RAD sessions for the development of technology solutions.
  • Occasionally assist with other aspects of the Company's business when requested.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgement in the performance of Project Management responsibilities.

  • Communication/Negotiation:
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interface effectively with project team members and support organizations.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Business and Technology Management.
    • Ability to develop clear, concise project documents and communications.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Demonstrates analytical ability in researching problems.
    • Assists in impact assessment and analysis for change, performance, and problem management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
  • Comfortable with changing demands and the ability to adapt.
  • High level attention to detail.
  • Excellent skills in organization and time management.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Project, Excel. Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Diagrams.net.

Education & Work Experience:

  • BS/BA in Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline desired.
  • Desire to attain PMP certification.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in project management, a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year practical business experience preferable in the bankcard or financial services industry.
