Cornerstone Bistro is looking to hire immediately a lead bartender/server for our growing team. We are a company that believes in hospitality by creating incredible guest experience through exceptional service, beautifully sourced food paired with an ever matching beverage program. This October, we will be celebrating 8 years at Cornerstone which was started as a small, intimate BYOB - 14 seat chef's counter & market which has grown organically and successfully over the years. In 2018, we expanded into a 44+ seat full bar and bistro along with our chef's counter, market & bottle/wine shop. Since 2018, we have successfully launched one of the top wine program's in the state boasting over 850 selections and 8000+ bottles in house with regional and national awards with Wine Spectator for our Beverage & Wine Program, Best Bistro Regionally and Best Sommelier. Once again, we are very excited to be growing our restaurant and company and are looking for new team members to join our staff at Cornerstone's location in Wayne, PA. Everyday is an experience for not only our guests, but also our staff as we are joined monthly by visiting chefs, winemakers and vintners from all over the world.

At Cornerstone Bistro (Barque Hospitality Group), you will be assisting in multiple areas of the beverage program, including development and curation of spirit selection and cocktail offerings. As a principal role model for the bar team, this position is pivotal in the overall success of the beverage program and will be counted on to ensure consistency of service standards, cocktail recipes and best practices. The Lead Bartender will actively be involved in current and new procedures/expectations while inspiring the team to ensure optimum performance and superior guest service that meets Company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the Wine Director & Lead Bartender on cocktail creation and the direction of the full spirits and spirit-free offerings
• Oversee the garnish program to ensure efficient daily service
• Creating and maintaining educational materials for the service team
• Assisting in training classes and line-ups on spirits education and cocktail history
• Checking quality and quantity of all stock and supplies
• Ordering all supplies and complete monthly inventory
• Anticipating and communicating replenishment needs
• Mixing, garnishing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications for guests at the bar and in the restaurant
• Keeping the bar stocked and clean while always providing friendly and attentive service
• Adhering to company standards for serving alcoholic beverages
• Accurately accounting for cash/credit card vouchers
• Upholding service standards to ensure a memorable guest experience
• Maintaining and upholding our company's vision and values
• Demonstrating a passion for details and a willingness to learn
• Taking part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties
• Exhibiting a familiarity with daily menus
• Participating in service/culinary/wine education sessions
• Maintaining a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment
• Picking up Wine and Spirits at the State store as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $225.00 - $700.00 per day
