Visiting Docs is a growing healthcare company currently providing primary care services in our oupatient clinic in Spring Valley, NY as well as numerous assisted living facilities throughout the state. We are looking for a Billing and Coding Manager to join our growing team. The mananger will be responsible for reviewing and auditing medical records and claims data to ensure proper billing and coding for both compliance and revenue optimization purposes. Additionally, the manager will monitor and oversee policies and performance of the organization's third party billing company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liasion between the finance and clinical departments on billing, coding, and revenue cycle matters.
- Manage relationships with payers and providers to generate high reimbursement and minimize denials.
- Perform chart and claims audits.
- Train providers in billing and coding.
- Create, prepare and analyze reports on billing and collection activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of revenue cycle experience including billing, coding and auditing.
- Certified Medical Biller or Coder preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with APG (ambulatory patient groups) billing and reimbursement REQUIRED.
- Knowledge of current CPT and ICD10 coding required.
- Strong knowledge of Artlce 28, Medicare, and Medicaid billing and APG and reimbursement guidelines.
- Previous experience with an EMR required; experience with eClinicalworks preferred.
This is a full time position with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off and a 401k with employer matching.
