A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CAREER SPECIALIST - JOB COACH

As a Career Specialist - Job Coach at our human services nonprofit, you're like a matchmaking guru! You get to know program participants inside and out, from their strengths and interests to their experiences and capabilities. You help them create a plan for success, aka a Family Contract Amendment (FCA), outlining their employment goals for the short and long term.

You're like a personal trainer, checking in monthly to make sure participants are crushing their goals and staying on track with program requirements. And if they miss an appointment, no worries! You're quick to reach out and reschedule.

You're also a super-connector, bringing in external providers to provide additional support to participants. You're like a master planner, using data from our FedcapCARES program to create daily and weekly tasks that keep everyone on track.

Most importantly, you're a total pro. You always follow policies and represent our nonprofit with style and grace. And the best part? WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BE A CAREER SPECIALIST - JOB COACH?

To be successful as a Career Specialist - Job Coach, you will need the following:

• Bachelor's degree OR higher education and equivalent experience
• Demonstrated track record for providing exceptional customer service
• Valid driver's license
• Covid-19 vaccination

Fluency in Arabic, Portuguese, Somali, French, or Lingala would be a plus but is not required. Above all, we are looking for someone who is compassionate, empathetic, and committed to helping others achieve their goals.
