We are currently seeking an exceptional to join us as our Resident Care Coordinator for our Tuscan Gardens of Venetia Bay Community.

The major areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to: scheduling of staff in the Nursing Department, filling in for CNA shifts on the floor as necessary to cover call offs/late arrivals/early departures, data entry and occasional orientation of staff.

Essential Functions of the Role

  • The primary purpose of your job position is to ensure adequate and appropriate clinical staffing to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census, and as may be directed by facility administration.
  • Ensure that all timesheets are submitted and entered for processing payroll and billing timely as needed.
  • Complete nursing schedule coordinating requests to ensure appropriate coverage of units.
  • Assist in completion of designated reports in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Answer employee calls regarding staffing/scheduling functions. Prepare written correspondence as necessary. Answer applicant calls regarding position availability and coordinate interviews as deemed appropriate. Ensure newly hired nursing staff has schedules prior to orientation date.
  • Assist in obtaining nursing care staff information needed for daily posting requirements.
  • Consult with nursing department staff and supervisors concerning the staffing/scheduling needs: to assist in elimination/correction of problem areas, and/or improvement of services.
  • Develop and maintain a good working rapport with interdepartmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility.
  • Ensure administrative functions are carried out promptly for an efficient operation.
  • May Work beyond normal working hours, on weekends and holidays, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.
  • Must be able to support the clinical team on the floor as needed.
  • Is subject to call back during emergency conditions e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc..

Qualifications:

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent. Associates Degree preferred but not required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Florida Medication Technician (Med Tech) certificate, with one year of experience required.
  • Florida Certified Nursing Assistant certification required.
  • Must be familiar and comfortable with technology platforms related to scheduling.
  • Strong customer service skills, the ability to multi-task, and excellent attention to detail.
  • One year of experience as a scheduler/administrative assistant in an Assisted Living Facility preferred.
  • One year of experience working with dementia patients and a basic knowledge of dementia required.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
