Position Summary

The products we create are on the cutting edge of green technology. To give our customers hot water with an iQ, we need cloud connectivity and the IoT network. The Cloud/IoT Engineer will work with our engineering team to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions. This person will be responsible for deploying and debugging cloud stacks, educating teams on new cloud initiatives, and ensuring cloud security. You’ll be a great fit if you have excellent troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and like to be part of a winning, innovative team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Good products begin with great collaboration. You’ll work with the engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.

• Make your mark by modifying and improving existing systems (Write scripts for deploying services).

• Make sure everyone is on the same page and educate other Intellihot teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.

• You get full span of control, that includes designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based systems. Then, of course, you’ll maintain those systems as well.

• Security is important to us. You’ll need to ensure efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.

• Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.

• You’ll be our Cloud & IoT expert providing technical support to customers when needed.

• A day in the life involves debugging code errors and troubleshooting software issues, creating and supporting REST API functions for App and Analytics, and creating and managing dashboard features and associated scripts.

Job Requirements

• Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer science or a similar field.

• Experience Requirements: 2-5 years of experience in an engineering role

• Troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Hands-on approach to problem-solving.

• Working knowledge of REST APIs

• General knowledge of HTML, REST, JSON, PHP, Python, & JavaScript

• Experience in database development

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Travel Requirements: <10%
