Job Details

Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Run coordination of all construction accounting activities ensuring proper communication and financial project tracking
- Implement and manage proper processes and controls to ensure all project spending is captured and reported in line with industry standards and US GAAP
- Design, maintain and present management level reporting throughout various levels in the organization
- Drive accountability throughout project teams
- Improve accuracy and completeness of project budgets, cost to date and cost to complete
- Lead monthly reviews with projects teams and finance department
- Reviewing lender pay application packages
- Review and approval of construction expenditure purchase orders
- Optimize systems and propose changes and adjustments to get to industry standards
- Assist in maintenance and issuance of purchase orders, change orders and pay applications
- Prepare schedule of values
- Set up new projects within project accounting system
- Ensure smooth project cash flow by auditing, reporting, and summarizing projects in full
- Assist with updating the project schedules
- Manage construction accounting team, supporting development and growth
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ Years in commercial construction accounting
- Project financial management
- Highly skilled with MS Office including Excel
- Understanding of US GAAP
- Project Reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior management experience within construction accounting
