Job Duties:
Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. Designs and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products. Develops applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses. Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing on controls systems conform to functional specifications and customer requirements. Directs and coordinates operations, maintenance, and repair of controls equipment and systems in field Installations. Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform controls engineering tasks. Communicates via reports, email, and memos to management and other employees on problems, issues, plans, and projects. Must effectively work with other Astec, Inc. employees to solve problems and develop projects. Travels to customer sites to troubleshoot problems and makes programming changes to systems. Travel ls approximately one-third of the time. Completes projects and assignments In a timely and proper manner, focusing on quality and customer satisfaction. Follows company policies and procedures at all times. Follows proper safety rules and procedures at all times.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 12 months of experience as an Electrical Engineer or related occupation. Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot problems and makes programming changes to systems. Travel is approximately one-third of the time.
