Knichel Logistics is continuing to grow its Operations Team! We are in search of a driven, focused individual who understands our service-based company, looking to make their mark in the space of Third-Party Logistics!

The primary function of the Truckload Customer Support is to provide operational and customer service support to Knichel Logistics' primary enterprise accounts for Truckload Brokerage. The Truckload Customer Support will provide daily operation support to the Team Leader and primary Truckload Customer Coordinator to include order entry, scheduling and confirming appointments, document retrieval and imaging and handling customer and carrier sales inquiries. The Truckload Customer Support plays a pivotal role in Knichel Logistics’ initiatives to achieve operational effectiveness and best in class service.

Regular Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of experience in an office environment, preferably in the logistics industry

Preferred:
A Bachelor’s Degree or related coursework in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management
1-3 years of experience in brokerage operations and/or carrier procurement. Previous experience with DAT and Truckstop is also beneficial.
Professional certification related to Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Frequent contact with customers and carriers by phone and email
  • Responsible for order entry, coordinating and scheduling with the appropriate underlying vendors, tracking and tracing, scheduling pick-up and delivery appointments and providing best in class customer service throughout the shipment process.
  • Responsible for identifying any problems or potential problems early and mitigates risk by proactively notifying the appropriate parties to include the intermodal account manager.
  • Establishes relationships with carriers. This consists of clearly communicating to the carriers both Knichel’s and its customer’s requirements and rules of engagement that will lead to providing best in class service to Knichel’s customers.
  • All other duties and tasks as may be necessary to achieve company goals and objectives as directed by the Director of Truckload Brokerage.
