Meridell Acheivement Center is seeking a dynamic and talented Dietary Manager
The Dietary Manager provides supervision and coordination of cooks and utility persons, aides to maintain high standards of quality food production, safety, sanitation and service in accordance with established policies and procedures and in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Meridell. The Dietary Manager is responsible for ordering, receiving and storage of goods and supplies. The Dietary Manager is responsible for coordination of special functions and in services events. The Dietary Manager coordinates repair of equipment in kitchen. The Dietary Manager prepares and directly oversees all food production for service to patients, staff and visitors. The Dietary Manager is responsible for containing costs and maintaining the departmental budget.
Job Duties:
- Works in food production kitchen setting subject to extreme changes in temperature. Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior. Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, blood/body fluids and other hazardous waste. Exposure to equipment and cleaning products and fluids.

- Heavy physical work load. Push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds. Requires standing, walking, bending, pulling, pushing, kneeling and stooping throughout the shift. Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment.
- Must have expertise in the supervision of Dietary departments
- Responsible for planning and scheduling of all employees in the department

Requirements:
- High School Diploma Or GED Equivalent
- Priot Cooking Exoerience in a Hospital Setting
- Knowledge of basic food science, equipment usage, cleaning products, safety and infection control practices.
- Certified Food Handler.
- Serv.Safe Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Five years in a management position preferred
