Looking for a part-time job that enhances another person’s life? One on one direct care role opportunity available near Doylestown, Pa (Ivyland)

Seeking an energetic and reliable person to serve as Support Service Professional (SSP) for part-time (with opportunity to increase to full time) work assisting a 65-year-old man who has intellectual disabilities. Candidates should hold a clean driving record and have good knowledge of the local community. All candidates must possess a strong belief in the participant self-direction model. If you have prior experience working with developmentally disabled adults in a direct care role, we encourage you to apply for this position!

Qualifications:

· Clear Criminal Background checks

· Possession of Valid PA Driver's License with Safe Driving Record

· Ability to work Independently but effectively as a Team Member

· Ability to Communicate Effectively

· Maintain Safe Home Environment

· Occasional need to Kneel, Bend, Squat, and Reach

· Minimal Computer Skills Required/Smart Phone for logging in and out preferred.

· Strong work ethic

· Reliable, Dependable, Show up for work on time.

· Commitment to equality for all individuals

· Daily Documentation and Service Notes to be completed.

· Experience working with the intellectual disability/mental health community preferred.

Staff will be interviewed, hired, trained, and supervised by the family. Staff will be required to use an Electronic Clock-in via telephone system. Resume’s will be reviewed prior to offer of first interview.

Salary is competitive, 19 to start (depending on education and experience) .Flexible, unique part-time hours. Weekend hours available.

Ideally looking for overnight companion care and weekend coverage

• 12 hour shift
• Night shift
• Overnight shift
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Doylestown, PA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Caregiving: 5 years (Preferred)
