Position Title: Scheduler

Overview: The Health Center Scheduler manages the schedule and maintains appropriate staffing levels in the nursing department according to administrative guidelines. The scheduler is also responsible to find replacement staff for callouts and for approved time off requests.

Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for updating Skilled Nursing census (e.g. admissions, discharges). Also completes weekly census reconciliation by deadline.
• Oversees all staffing needs in a timely manner and ensures that the facility schedules proper staffing ratios. Uses OnShift software to ensure staffing for each shift.
• Contacts staff and agencies to fill vacancies. Receives approval to use agency by Senior Director or DON. Reviews and approves agency timesheets.
• Tracks and reports staffing ratios, excessive absenteeism, tardiness, and inappropriate timekeeping to DON. Works with the DON to avoid overtime and agency.
• Sends employee status changes and quarterly agency reports to Human Resources. Works with HR to ensure compliance requirements are being met by staff.
• Meets with the Senior Director of Health Services to discuss state requirements and occupancy prior to stand-up meetings.
• Attends stand-up and staff meetings. Assists in scheduling of staff meetings as needed and informs employees.

You Have:

• High School graduate.
• Staffing and scheduling experience preferred.
• Experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

A weekend getaway to the Keys is a sunny drive south on U.S. 1; Miami International Airport is about 30 minutes north.
