Job Title: EDI Analyst with Oracle EBS Techno-Functional
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Remote but driving distance to Daytona Beach, FL is a plus.
Job Summary:
Client is looking for an EDI Analyst with Oracle EBS Techno-Functional experience setting up EDI communications with suppliers and customers. The ideal candidate will have Oracle EBS functional experience with Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Supply Chain and technical experience with Oracle XML Gateway and eCommerce Gateway. The EDI Analyst will be responsible for the entire EDI lifecycle (cradle-to-grave) which would include the planning, design, mapping, and ongoing support of the EDI process. In order to be effective, the EDI Analyst will need to know and be comfortable navigating within Oracle EBS to build and validate testing of the EDI process end-to-end and provide guidance to Business, Suppliers, Customers, Business Analysts, and Development teams.
The EDI Analyst works closely with our Business Application, Development, and Infrastructure teams to assist in establishing EDI communications with our trade partners to standardize, streamline and simplify our processes. The EDI Analyst will work closely with our trade partners to monitor communications, resolve failures, and help to deploy new EDI connections. They will provide support to other technical teams and end users.
This is a very dynamic role and critical to the success and expansion of EDI capabilities.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Support the current EDI partners by monitoring EDI connections and helping resolve issues/EDI failures.
- Fulfills EDI business requirements through clearly articulated system process designs.
- Works with mapping partners (Epicor) and external partners to support system connectivity, data integrity, and business process compliance through accurate Implementation guides and functional specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement and looks to reduce the number of EDI failures our EDI partners are experiencing.
- Provides project administration during the implementation of EDI with new partners.
- Confirms EDI functionality through testing during testing and major releases.
- Supports standardization of systems, processes, and reporting
Required Credentials, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a similar field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years’ experience on Oracle XML and E-Commerce Gateway (EDI)
- Develop, support, review, modify and troubleshoot EDI solutions using Oracle EDI Gateway
- Experience with EDI standard format ANSI X12
- Strong understanding of inbound and outbound EDI 850, EDI 810, EDI 856 and other transaction sets
- Understanding of AS2 and other related communication protocols
- Creating EDI mapping documents between Oracle E-Commerce gateway and EDI ANSI X12 formats
- Experience in working with EDI VAN providers (like Sterling, SPS, etc.) on Translation and Transmission Services
- Understanding of EBS O2C and P2P cycles
- Analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to project manage and work with large teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with end-user training of EDI systems
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
