Essex Westford School District is seeking a full-time, school year Campus Support associate at Essex High School. This position, under the general direction of the principal, performs a variety of assignments to help create and maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment.

Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Monitoring school activities, facilities, and common areas (i.e. hallways, cafeteria)

Supervising students, including study halls, in-school suspension, after-school detention

Circulating around school facilities (i.e. grounds, roads, buildings, eating areas, adjacent areas, parking lots, etc.) for the purpose of providing administrative visibility and supporting students

Assisting school administrators and front office staff to resolve attendance and behavior concerns

Interacting thoughtfully and courteously with students, community, staff, and administration

Supporting the District’s equity work by keeping equity and inclusion at the forefront of actions and decisions

Providing a restorative and social skills approach to the work with students

Maintain confidentiality

Establishing and maintaining effective rapport with students and effective working relationships with staff members
