Job description

The Emergency Room Technician functions under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. He/she provides non-licensed direct patient care to neonate through geriatric patients. He/she assists the healthcare team by providing personal assistance to patients by caring for the patient, equipment and supplies and also by providing clerical and nursing care support services.

• Adheres to Corporate Compliance Guidelines
• Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with Hospital Safety and Infection Control policies as required by OSHA and the patient Safety Program
• Demonstrates essential knowledge and skills when performing/assisting in procedures and treatments.
• Performs vital signs on admission and at least every 2 hours, or as directed by RN. Documents on EMR and reports results to RN.
• Set up low flow O2 by nasal cannula (no application of oxygen)

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent. Phlebotomy proficiency preferred, successful completion of phlebotomy training with six (6) months of hire.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a clinical setting. Current BCLS required.

Pay: $16.85 - $23.00 per hour
