Evaluator - Independent Contractor

Description/Job Summary
This is an independent contractor position to conduct court-ordered biopsychosocial evaluations of individuals involved in the criminal justice system in Montgomery County. Individuals may be either in the community or incarcerated, and the evaluations may be conducted at the program office, the Montgomery County Adult Probation office, or at Montgomery County Correctional Facility. Some evaluations may be completed via telehealth. Availability during daytime hours is required, as is the ability to conduct evaluations in person.Responsibilities/Duties
- Provide availability to administrative staff
- Meet with individuals either virtually or in person to complete evaluation
- Complete written narrative report that includes recommendations for level of care and appropriate ancillary services
- Consult with Program Director or Clinical Manager when appropriate
- Complete ASAM Summary Sheet when necessary
- Submit completed paperwork to program office
Required Experience
- 2 years experience working with individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders
- Experience working with the criminal justice system preferred
Required Education
Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or other related fieldRequired Qualifications
