Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join our production company. The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of our business, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, budgeting, and reporting. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of financial principles, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures that comply with accounting principles and industry best practices.
  • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Process payroll for the company and communicate with customers to address any past due invoices on their account.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Create and maintain the annual budget, including forecasting revenue and expenses.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making, such as product pricing, cost reductions, and capital expenditures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors, banks, and vendors.
  • Manage the annual audit process and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for ongoing operations and capital projects.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Lead cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, such as cost price calculations.
  • Perform analysis of operations on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure all active projects are covered by valid, binding contracts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Two or more years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or similar work environment.
  • CPA License Preferred.
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerBI, accounting software, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Additional Responsibility:

  • Perform financial controlling for a new manufacturing plant project, including preparing financial models, analyzing capital expenditures, and tracking project costs against budget and schedule.

As the Financial Controller, you will also play a key role in the setup of our new manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of this project, ensuring that it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and ensure that financial resources are used efficiently and effectively.
