We have an immediate opening for a Floor Technician / Special Projects Worker for governmental buildings in the Denver Metro and Greater Denver areas. Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday - Friday with possible overtime when needed
Pay: $17.68 - $21.83/hr DOE
SUMMARY: In collaboration with the Special Projects Manager and Assistant Special Projects Manager, assist in executing wooden floor refinishing and carpet cleaning program. Respond to emergencies day or night. Maintain on-call status for one week each month.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in execute wooden floor refinishing and carpet cleaning program company-wide
- Assist with replacing entrance matting and carpet.
- Submit work orders and communicate necessary repairs to trades personnel.
- Assist in execute cleanup of building emergencies. Repair or mitigate any weekend or after hours maintenance concerns.
- Work on-call after hours one week each month and respond to emergency calls from dispatch.
- Set up and tear down meetings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience in carpet and hard floor care or general maintenance.
- Must meet insurability requirements (Clean MVR)
- Basic knowledge of carpet and hard flooring.
- Basic knowledge of floor coatings.
- Basic knowledge of flooring and carpet equipment.
- Basic knowledge of wood floor coatings and carpet extraction chemicals.
- Criminal background check required for hire.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
- All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired.
- Colorado driver's license.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Heavy physical effort.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Frequent pushing, pulling, reaching, and bending.
- Frequent climbing of stairs, ladders, and vehicles.
- Good motor skills (hand tools and machinery used occasionally).
- Repetitive motions.
- Occasional moving of equipment, furniture, and materials.
- Work at various heights.
- Flexibility regarding work hours and days.
- On-call status for one week each month required.
