JOB SUMMARY

Proactively generate consumer loan, residential mortgage and small business loan applications. Perform underwriting duties and make credit decisions within authority guidelines. Proactively call on local business prospects and clients to develop new business and retain and grow existing client relationships. Actively participate in the local community to positively position the bank. Lead assigned branch team(s) to achieve branch and bank growth goals through sales planning, employee coaching and individual production. Gather deposits and sell all bank products and services. Achieve balance sheet and income statement budgets. Insure safety and soundness of branch operations including physical security, facilities management, branch operations, audit and compliance standards, signage and branch marketing initiatives. Professionally manage branch human resources to include hiring, scheduling, time/attendance, supervision, training, performance reviews, corrective action, terminations and employee development.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Business Development – 80% of job function

  • Responsible for developing business relationships in the assigned market area.
  • Develop prospect lists and follow-up with local businesses to ensure growth.
  • Work with community leaders and be involved in community functions to grow the JBT brand.
  • Routinely incorporate compliance (knowledge of laws/regulations) in day-to-day tasks.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures and regulations relating to commercial lending.

Branch Manager – 20% of job function

  • Oversee branch operations
  • Develop branch budget and sales goals
  • Meet annual growth, revenue and budget targets
  • Work closely with branch staff to ensure Branch growth
  • Routinely incorporate compliance (knowledge of laws/regulations) in day-to-day tasks
  • Serve on special committees for bank projects
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to coach, train and develop personnel
  • Thorough knowledge of Commercial, Consumer and Mortgage Lending practices and Branch operations.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to operate standard office equipment and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs.
