The HomeFront Resource Network exists to connect families in poverty with the items they need to live lives with dignity. The Resource Network consists of our new choice food pantry, on-going pop-up food pantry and additional pop-up locations, a motel meal delivery program, a Diaper Resource Center that distributes diapers, wipes, and period supply products, our Furnish the Future program that provides gently used furniture to families moving into independent housing, a FreeStore location where families can access clothing, housewares, linens, and appliances free of charge, and more. The Food & Resource Access Summer Associate will work to provide these food, diapers, hygiene items, and more to HomeFront families by harnessing the caring and resources of our community.
Member Duties : Participate in efforts to distribute most-needed items to families in need Member Activities: 1. Support clients, staff, and teammates as part of the effort to run successful ongoing Resource Network distribution efforts a. Greet clients and provide needed items with respect from our food pantries, furniture program, diaper resource center, FreeStore, and more b. Participate in daily choice pantry operations including: assisting clients with food choices, stocking shelves, preparing donated produce and special food items, assisting with inventory, and creating food bags c. Participate in weekly motel food distribution efforts including: hot meal and pre-made food bag delivery d. Ensure efficient, effective service for HomeFront families e. Complete client intake forms and data entry in a timely, accurate manner with required documentation 2. Plan and enact special Resource Network events
