Kings Harbor Multicare Center is a 720-bed long term, short term, rehabilitative and sub-acute facility located in the North East Bronx near the Westchester border adjacent to 2 major highways. We are looking for an energetic candidate to join our Admissions team. Below are some of the responsibilities of the Hospital Liaison:

§ Represent and promote public relations and marketing Kings Harbor to various area hospitals, discharge planning departments and community agencies.

§ Collaborate with Admission Department and VP of Nursing to review PRIs and make on-site visits to access the clinical needs of client for placement in facility.

§ Make timely on site visits to area hospitals to screen potential clients for admission.

§ Liaison with Discharge Planning and Nursing Department in facilities.

§ Distribute brochures and information regarding specialized services available at Kings Harbor Multicare Center to achieve and maintain clients’ optimum potential.

§ Promote the sub-acute unit for short-term rehabilitation, to maximize the client’s return to home and community.

§ Act as liaison and be available to meet with family, or social worker, to provider information that will enhance transfer of client to Kings Harbor Multicare Center.

§ Keeps current in the field of long term care and geriatrics through attendance at workshops, seminars and professional organizations.

§ Plan open house receptions and seminars to promote public relations and open pathways to disseminate information.

§ Attend health fairs.

The applicant should have the following:
§ Previous long-term care experience in an administrative position.

§ Knowledge of PRIs and ability to make clinical assessments of clients in hospitals for admission to facility.

§ Marketing and public relations experience.
