Your Role: What you'll be doing

This HR Business Partner Specialist 3 opportunity will reside at ULA’s Launch Operations facility in Cape Canaveral, FL and will be responsible for the following:
  • Provide on-site human resources to a workforce of salaried non-represented employees.
  • Support both on site and enterprise-wide clients and commensurate workforce.
  • Responsible for employee relations, recruitment and selection, performance management, and supporting the leadership teams across the respective client groups.
  • Employee relations includes investigating employee related issues and working with leaders to provide resolutions as needed.
  • Works closely with site leadership and interfaces with other company functions such as Ethics, ULA Medical, Legal and Security.
  • Assists with record keeping related to hiring, terminations, LOA, transfer, and promotion of workforce.
  • Conduct exit interviews, surveys and other research related to HR policies and procedures.
  • Support staffing activities for the site and client groups.
  • Support EEO accommodations requests.
  • Support workforce actions such as layoffs, furloughs, safety stand-downs, etc.
  • Assists with preparation and dissemination of plans, policies & procedures, documents, and reports to support workforce management and leadership.
  • Work with HR colleagues to develop process improvements for critical policies or practices.
  • Conducts New Hire Orientation as needed.

Your Background: What education and experience you'll need

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 4 - 8 years of experience.

Your Background: What skills you'll need

  • Demonstrated experience with strategic HR initiatives like workforce planning, change-management, succession planning, etc.
  • Proven experience influencing and communicating with Senior Leadership
  • Thorough knowledge of federal employment law is required
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to prioritize complex issues and meet deadlines
  • Possess experience in HR generalist model
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with highly sensitive data and material
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
