About You:
This individual will develop and conduct in-depth and complex industrial engineering assignments to develop new methods, work process designs, cost estimates, and/or to resolve engineering problems involved in manufacturing of standard parts or products.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Studies functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication.
- Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
- May supervise the work assignment, performance and behavior of assigned personnel.
- Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
- Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
- Participates in the gathering, recording, and classifying of production information as it pertains to Bills of Materials and routings. Works with Manufacturing Engineering to accurately classify unit production costs.
- Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
- Develops management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
- Maintains currency with respect to technical and supervisory skills by attending training classes, special technical and administration courses, seminars, exhibits and trade shows as needed.
- All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
- Assumes additional related responsibilities as required.
Specifications:
- 4 year college degree in engineering or related discipline.
- 4+ years of related experience.
