WEALTH MANAGEMENT (WM) OPERATIONS
Wealth Management Operations is a global organization operating in 11 cities across 7 countries in support of Wealth Management with client assets of $2.4T, 6.6M client accounts, and ~16K Financial Advisors. The organization drives operational excellence by supporting business growth, enhancing the client experience, and improving operational efficiency with a strong foundation in risk and financial management through its member divisions; Chief Operating Office, Client Service Risk & Control, Capital Markets & Core Processing Operations, Product Operations & Account Services, Private Banking Operations, and Tax & Client Reporting Operations.
The Estate & Inheritor Services Senior Specialist will be responsible for managing the transition of assets for individual clients by serving as a Subject Matter Expert for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Clients, Financial Advisors, Client Service Associates and/or Branch Management to facilitate inheritance and legacy transfers. Additionally, the Senior Associate will work closely with branches and other internal departments to provide support through various internal applications, and process paperwork in a virtual branch environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
> Provide subject matter expertise and serve as a primary escalation point on the team in all topics, including retirement, trusts, and estates
> Lead by example and act as a mentor for junior specialists on the team
> Assist the management team in building and maintaining strong branch relationships
> Providing dedicated one-on-one support for the client throughout the inheritance process leveraging effective relationship management skills
> Proactively communicating with clients by phone and / or email in order to provide a high level of service, transparency, and empathy to clients and beneficiaries
> Process & follow up client service requests to ensure completion in a timely manner
> Set appropriate expectations with clients and beneficiaries for requests, in line with internal Service Level Agreements, and ensure consistent follow-up
> Provide world class customer service to both internal and external clients in all interactions
> Research and resolve problems with both internal and external clients accurately and in a timely manner
> Leverage Morgan Stanley systems and ensure all case interactions are appropriately entered and documented
> Actively manage, monitor, and document daily case load by utilizing various technology resources
> Assist in facilitating quality oversight on the team to ensure continued excellence in service
> Apply Firm verification policies for all clients to avoid identity theft and fraudulent activity
> Keep current on SEC/FINRA, Compliance and Firm guidelines and apply to processing and all interactions to ensure risk mitigation
> Other ad hoc duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience
> College degree preferred
