The department of the DVC Academic provides a range of student
support, information, guidance and development services across the
University. These services work closely together in order to provide
the best possible services to our students and to meet the strategic
aims of the University.
ABOUT THE POST
The University wishes to appoint an International Student Adviser on an
indefinite basis. The successful candidate will be a member of the
International Support and Compliance team, within the department
of DVC Academic. The team provides specialist support, advice
and guidance for international students encompassing immigration
advice and Student Sponsor compliance.
Reporting to the International Support and Compliance Manager the post
holder will provide specialist immigration advice and guidance to
international applicants, enrolled students, recent graduates and
dependants in line with OISC Code of Standards. The role will also
assist and advise on compliance functions such as document
checking and enrolment and administer the Start Up Route scheme.
The post holder, in conjunction with colleagues, will also be
responsible for developing workshops, briefings and training events on
topics relevant to
international students as well as support the delivery the induction
programme for incoming students on Student visas and their dependants.
The post holder will work closely with colleagues from across the
University, including the Academic Schools, School Offices, Student
Services and the Student Recruitment and Business Development areas.
