POSITION OBJECTIVE: Works under the general direction of the Manager, Operating System Services to ensure the functionality, stability, security, and expandability of the Authority’s mass-storage and data backup environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepare backup schedules for all Authority data sources.

2. Review reports to ensure backup integrity.

3. Conduct data recovery and compliance searches as required.

4. Establish, maintain, and update the Authority’s document retaining program.

5. Create, update, and conduct regular business continuity and disaster recovery exercises.

6. Maintain multi-site backup and recovery infrastructure.

7. Provision storage for use by IT platforms.

8. Maintain functionality of mass-storage systems using supplied management tools.

9. Ensures various mass-storage systems are running at optimal functionality and efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR RELATIONSHIPS:

Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all employees of the Authority. Represent the Authority in a positive, professional, and confidential manner in dealings with external agencies, contractors, and all other individuals and entities. Maintain professional demeanor even in high stress situations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field.

2. Five years of experience working with Commvault Simpana.

3. Five years of experience working with IBM XIV and Hyper-Scale Manager interface.

4. Three years working knowledge of SAN and NAS systems, including Dell/EMC Isilon.

5. Five years of experience performing business continuity and disaster recovery exercises.

6. Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.

7. Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $73,250.00 - $113,246.00 per year
