UNC Pembroke School of Education seeks to fill the Joseph Oxendine Endowed Professorship in the School of Education. Position begins August 2023. The endowed full professor would assist in class coverage for a growing program, leadership in the department and the School of Education (SOE), and scholarship connecting to the SOE, campus, and community.

Candidates should provide evidence of supporting pre-service and in-service teachers, commitment to equity and diversity in public schooling, experience in collaboration with K-12 faculty and school partners and expertise in leadership and program development.

Strong consideration will be afforded to candidates with a demonstrated record of professional teaching experience at the K-12 and collegiate level, including online teaching with an ability to successfully structure and implement a distance-education based course. Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience.
