Sterling Home Technologies has an immediate need for a Lead AV Technician. Sterling Home Technologies has an office in Boerne, Texas and is also part of Captive Audio located in Austin, Texas. This position is based in Boerne. We provide high-end audio/video, lighting control, security and home automation services in Central Texas.

Our Lead Technician is responsible for installing A/V Network and Automation Systems in a residential setting, delivering a Legendary Experience for the client every time!

Responsibilities include:

• Perform scheduled Installation calls to install new products
• Execute provided plans and documents to completion
• Manage time efficiently and effectively to complete installation within allotted schedule
• Communicate regularly to Project Manager detailed updates about the project until completed

Successful applicants should have the following experience and attributes:

• 1-3 years experience installing, configuring, and servicing residential Audio/Video, Home Theaters and Network systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents
• In-depth understanding of networking and troubleshooting connections and configuration problems
• Knowledge of Lutron, Crestron or URC programming a PLUS
• Experience terminating fiber optic cabling is a PLUS
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and team members
• Strong organization and time management skills and able to work effectively with little supervision
• Able to safely and properly use common power and hand tools
• Able to work overtime as needed
• Desire to learn and grow with the company
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance
• Able to lift 75 pounds
• Able to climb stairs, ladders and work safely at heights

Must have valid DL, clean driving record, reliable transportation and Pre-employment Drug Screen and Background Check done

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
