Work schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00-3:00

Fridays are for teacher planning, and no students are on site. We have a private preschool setting with curriculum set in place already. We also have a GSRP classroom (4 yr olds only) that requires each teacher to have a certain background. Assistant teacher is always available for you. Our ratio never exceeds over a 7:1.

Only educating children 2.5 and older

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• College degree with an emphasis on early childhood development
• Must meet all required qualifications as stated in the Licensing Rule Book and program specific manual
• Ability to work effectively with children and parents
• Awareness of child development theory and practices
• Knowledge of social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of preschool children
• Ability to work cooperatively with staff and supervisors
• Ability to implement curriculum
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Self-motivated, dependable and responsible

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• HighScope training/knowledge

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the safety and well-being of the children
• Communicate effectively and sensitively with parents
• Implement the program in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the district
• Attend all Professional Learning Communities (PLC), Parent Orientation, Meet and Greet and professional development opportunities sponsored by the WBPA
• Keep accurate and up to date inventory of equipment
• Responsible for the arrangement, appearance and learning environment of the classroom
• Show initiative for self-improvement by attending conferences, courses and reading professional materials
• Acquire your own substitute when necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
