Located in the heart of World Golf Village, Westminster St. Augustine is currently accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Mechanic to work on a full-time basis. As part of the Maintenance Team, this individual will assist in the day-to-day maintenance of community property. As a part of the Westminster Family, this position is an important part of the resident’s residential experience.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
The Maintenance Mechanic position must comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Communities including:
- Troubleshoot and identify problems with electrical and plumbing systems. Repair mechanical issues with said systems.
- Perform regular building maintenance and repairs, including mechanical systems.
- Solder copper pipes and perform advanced plumbing repairs.
- Assist Maintenance Engineer with major projects and repairs.
- Interact with suppliers and/or maintenance providers with troubleshooting and repairing major equipment.
- Assist other staff members with minor repairs to equipment and systems.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Three plus years in specialty trade such as A/C, Carpentry or Electrical work or equivalent and/or a combination of education and experience.
- Possess an EPA License/Certification.
- Must hold a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Physical & Environmental Requirements And Sensory & Communicative Activities:
Balancing, Kneeling, Reaching, Crouching, Pulling, Standing, Manual Dexterity, Pushing, Stooping, Grasping, Lifting up to 40lbs.
AN INDIVIDUAL IN THIS POSITION WILL BE EXPOSED TO:
Inside and Outside environmental conditions
Blood borne pathogens
Respiratory pathogens
MUST BE ABLE TO COPE WITH MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL STRESS OF THIS POSITION.
