Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic & passionate manager to run our outdoor Summer Shack bar in Harvard Square (outside the Charles Hotel)! You will be a member of a cohesive team that supports each other’s success in a fast-paced environment. As a part of the Lyons Group, you will have ample opportunity for growth and success across multiple concepts and venues.
What you will do:
- Handle overall operations of the bar, including ordering, inventories, and scheduling.
- Understand our Guest-Obsessed culture and do whatever it takes to create a positive and memorable guest experience.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in with each table regularly and anticipating guest needs.
- Handle guests’ complaints by listening to their concerns, and resolving issues to ensure overall guest satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS
- Ablity to work in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to listen, understand, and respond to team member and guest requests in a loud environment.
- Skill and coordination at using hands to write, pour and carry several drinks, plates, and bowls at the same time.
The Summer Shack restaurant was opened in 2001 by acclaimed chef Jasper White, featuring fresh seasonal seafood, raw bar, and New England fare. Our Harvard Square location is a lively outdoor bar space, with a smaller but delicious & fresh menu of New England favorites! This location is more bar-focused, with a craft cocktail program, a wide selection of beer & wine, and a nightly DJ & live music program!
