Job description

Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred. Degree in Medical Assisting Required. Candidate must have strong venipuncture skills and an understanding of routine labs. Required skills will include rooming patients(obtaining chief complaint, performing manual BP, updating medication list & allergies) injections (SQ/IM), venipuncture, EKG, ear lavage, assisting with minor procedures, specialist referrals, documenting in Allscripts EHR, communicating with patients regarding results and care. This position does require some administrative work. This is a floating position, knowledge in multiple aspects of the practice will be integrated into the role. Ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be dependable and communicate well with patients, co workers and managers.
