JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Checkin 1
DEPARTMENT: Front Office
CAMPUS: Atlanta
REPORTING TO: Front Office Supervisor
RESPONSIBLE FOR: -
JOB PURPOSE: To check-in patients as they arrive for their appointments and signal the clinical team after the necessary information has been gathered
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Warmly greet patients as they arrive for their appointment.
- Obtain patient demographic and verify insurance information at each visit
- Control and maintain presence of the waiting room
- Monitor and review patient schedules for any possible problems that can be avoided.
- Identifying and resolving minor patient billing problems/complaints
- Keep appointment reminder status up-to-date
- Check scheduled virtual appointments for active insurance, demographics, and reason for visit.
- Monitor EMAIL and input insurance images and information.
- Monitor and respond to internal and external communications (email, im, vmail)
- Adopt and believe in the Mission Vision and Values of the company
- Follow direction of Front Office Supervisor and other leadership team members
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The postholder will work under the direct supervision of the front office supervisor, but will also be expected to work under their own initiative. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide creative solutions to solve patient complaints is paramount to this position. A unique skill of being able to control the flow of patients and gather necessary information while remaining patient focused is required.
HOURS OF WORK
Monday thru Friday 7:00a to 4:00pm.
