Your Role:

The Metrology Supervisor position leads the maintenance team to achieve business objectives in a site with multiple products and processes. The role will lead skilled technicians focused on metrology and calibrations within compliance of cGMP regulation. The incumbent will assist with the development of calibrations strategy, based on industry best practices, compliance requirements, and reliability standards of maintenance in support of a multi-year transition to build an autonomous and predictive maintenance organization.

Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, Facilities, and Maintenance the incumbent will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to skilled technicians.

• Supervise the metrology team and contract resources to maintain compliance and support the production plan
• Execute calibrations as needed to support team
• Responsible for a high performing team to meet the current and evolving needs of the business through team building, training and skills development, coaching and mentoring, and performance management
• Ensure that team utilizes safe work practices and process controls to ensure a safe operation of equipment and facility (job hazard analysis, equipment assessments, failure fault trees, and risk assessments to drive continuously safe culture)
• Responsible building and executing efficient scheduling and planning of calibration activities to maximize operational uptime
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to support integrated schedules
• Create job plans, calibration tasks, and kitting plans required for scheduled maintenance activities, purchase parts/materials as needed (e.g. instructional documents, materials, and specialty tools)
• Ensure cGMP compliance (e.g. work order processing, good documentation practices, compliance to change management process, deviation review, CAPA assignments, etc.)
• Responsible for assets and performance related to Metrology and Equipment controls
• Perform Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis to resolve issues, develop options, and prevent failure reoccurrence
• Create and/or rationalize existing preventative and predictive maintenance tasks in CMMS to assist with the development of Reliability Based Maintenance strategy
• Assist in management and implementation of Deviations and CAPAs related to facilities, equipment, and maintenance processes
• Occasional weekend/overtime/off-shift hours work may be required (Emergency coordinator/responder for equipment breakdowns)

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Electronics, Engineering, Metrology, Computer Science, or Life Science discipline
• 3+ years calibration and troubleshooting experience within a chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing facility
• 2+ years supervisory experience within a chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing facility

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), skilled with Microsoft Suite of Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, Power Point)
• Background in Calibrations, Controllers, and Metrology best practices
• Ability to communicate using excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong technical skills
• Demonstrated ability to work within a cross-functional team
• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
