Green Brook Township School District, located in Somerset County, NJ serves approximately 800 students in grades PK-8 supported by a community with high expectations for its students, faculty, and administrative leadership.

MS Social Studies and/or MS Language Arts Teacher

Tenure Track for 2023-2024 School Year

Qualifications:

• Middle School Social Studies 5-8 and/or Middle School Language Arts/Literacy 5-8
• Background or interest in philosophy and ethics, focusing on age-appropriate ethical concepts, critical-thinking skills, and moral decision-making.
• Capacity to lead, promote, and expand programs, including but not limited to Ethics and Speech & Debate.
• Enthusiastic about overseeing the extracurricular Ethics Club and coaching the Middle School Ethics Bowl Team.
• Facilitate collaboration between the district, The Ethics Institute at Kent Place, and other regional ethics programs.
• Passion for promoting awareness of global issues through interdisciplinary academic learning and real-world community engagement.
• Knowledge of effective, cross-disciplinary instructional strategies.
• Demonstrates effective collaboration, strong interpersonal skills, high integrity, moral character, and excellent communication with various stakeholders.
