Role:

The Member Service Representative I (MSR I) is a full-service liaison between the members and the Credit Union. The MSR I will perform transactions, open accounts, resolve issues, originate loans, and guide the lobby. In this role, the MSR I will be offering members a personal experience from the moment they enter the branch, to the moment they leave. The MSR I is a tiered position, with advanced knowledge and demonstrated skills required to advance:

MSR LEVEL I

Applies basic skills such as financial transactions while developing some specialized skills in procedures, operations, techniques, modules, materials, and/or equipment appropriate to the position; performs routine and/or repetitive tasks; limited decision making required; generally works under close supervision; has no or limited experience; work is performed from within specific limits of established procedures and/or defined instructions.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

-Accurately process financial transactions in accordance with cash-control standards and protocols (i.e. placing appropriate holds, examining checks for proper endorsements, etc.).

-Responsible for rotating branch duties, including cash transactions and new account functions.

-Support the branch member retention and relationship expansion through regular contact with existing and potential members.

-Maintain a thorough knowledge of all credit union products and services with the understanding of their features and benefits, as well as their processes, guidelines, and procedures. MSR II requires advanced cross-selling of credit union's full range of financial products and services.

-Maintain a thorough knowledge of credit union's core software including referrals, sales and contact events, phone logs, extended information, and reports.

-Possess a good understanding of the consumer loan process, guidelines, and a complete understanding of share certificates. MSR II requires a thorough understanding of individual retirement accounts, Truth in Savings, and credit union's lending process.

-Explain consumer loan products to members, assess members' needs, and recommend loan options. Request, evaluate, and interpret credit worthiness to ensure compliance with Fort McClellan Credit Union products and services. MSR II required to explain mortgage loans, individual retirement accounts, and business products.

-Balance the branch vault, ATM, and cash machines, as necessary. Assists MSR II as needed.

-Must fill in at other branches as needed.

-Responsible for following all BSA/OFAC policies and procedures.

-Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
