**Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm/Friday 8:00am-1:00pm** $16-$19hr ***Immediate Start***

We are looking for a Front Desk Representative who will be responsible for daily operations and serve as a primary point person for the Wake Forest satellite office. The Front Desk Representative will coordinate patient services with staff, care coordinators and nurses per the physician's schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Greet each patient and visitor courteously and respectfully.
  • Ensure the front desk is neat, presentable, and equipped with all the necessary supplies such as pens, forms, and paper.
  • Register patients accurately and in a timely manner making sure all information is correct, insurance is verified at the time of registration and all applicable signatures are obtained.
  • Collect applicable co-pays/co-insurance/deductibles, post payments, give receipts, make change, give applicable discounts, notify correct employees to post discounts and balance daily batch.
  • Answer switchboard promptly and courteously following all protocols set up with transferring calls to departments.
  • Monitor patient wait times both before and after registration keeping them notified of any delays and waits.
  • Consistently demonstrates a positive attitude.
  • Fosters teamwork by offering assistance to others. Acknowledges and responds tactfully to all request. Shows consideration in interaction with patients, family and other healthcare team members by demonstrating listening skills and cooperation. Communicates and interacts with others in a professional, responsible, cooperative, and positive manner at all times.

Skills

  • Associate’s degree in medical office administration or related field.
  • 1-2 years medical office experience.
  • Experience with practice management software such as NextGen.
  • Display a self-confident, professional, friendly and caring demeanor with every patient interaction.
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with co-workers.
  • Strong understanding and commitment to protection of PHI per HIPAA regulations.
  • Self-motivated to work independently to learn new technologies, seek answers, and manage daily tasks effectively.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills required.
  • Exhibit a positive, collaborative attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
