About this position
Performs clinical pharmacy functions, including customer monitoring and consulting with other clinical staff. Reviews medication orders for appropriateness, dosing, frequency, potential interactions and possible allergic reactions. Oversees the dispensing of medications and intravenous solutions by pharmacy technicians.
What we’ll expect from you
- Verifies physician medication orders in the electronic health record
- Performs kinetic drug dosing
- Consults with medical and nursing staff
- Participates in medication reconciliation
- Oversees medication dispensing by support personnel
- Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals.
- The team member is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list.

Education
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Hospital experience or completion of a hospital residency preferred • Computer and keyboard skills
Licensure/Certification(s) Mandatory
Licensed by MN State Board of Pharmacy - State Requirement
Licensure/Certification(s) Mandatory where Applicable
