US Subsidiary Overview
The US Subsidiary is a R&D center. Our primary focus is to develop more efficient and effective methods of processing pet foods, animal feeds, aqua feeds, and other food and feeds. Our equipment lineup includes grinding, mixing, extrusion, pelleting, drying, cooling, enrobing, and conveying equipment.
Position Responsibilities:
The Process Engineer-Pet Food supports the development of new or improved making processes and early research initiatives that advance equipment designs, improve end-product characteristics, and result in cutting edge process and factory controls. This position reports to the Senior Process Engineer and collaborates with the HQ R&D team, the HQ Equipment Design teams (extruder, dryer, coater, etc.), and with HQ Sales teams. Detail responsibilities are as below:
- Support, grow, and learn from the Senior Process Engineer – Pet Food.
- Propose new or improved Product and Process Projects for the Equipment and
Process Innovation Grid.
- Troubleshoot existing equipment or processes and support corrective actions with existing customers.
- Lead and support the delivery of the approved Product and Process Innovation
Projects in partnership with HQ R&D and Design Engineers.
- Use drafting tools or computer-assisted design software (2-D & 3-D).
- Utilize your unique process expertise, to fill gaps on the team, to solve design challenges.
- Propose Early Research Projects that advance our basic understanding of the application or product by conducting literature searches to create a hypothesis, prepare protocols for the HQ R&D team to conduct, and summarize the findings.
- Assist with commissioning of new process prototypes.
- Assist with Pilot Plant research studies.
- Support customers by providing technical assistance and presentations.
- International Travel up to 33%.
Candidate Requirements:
-must have:
- 5 years of experience in extruded petfood applications.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Feed Science, Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Capable of 2D CADD design using Autocad software.
- Familiar with 3D design software as Autodesk Inventor.
- Knowledge of biological materials used in food, petfood, feed extrusion applications.
- Knowledge of Steam Systems
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
