Primary Responsibilities

This role is responsible for the support, leadership, and direction of the Metal Fab Assembly, working with the OTN and Steelbox Assembly production team.

Responsibility for operational performance and improvement of key metrics including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and associate morale.

• Organize resources to deliver on metrics.
• Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within assigned departments.
• Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of Multilink.
• Motivate and lead a high-performance management team; attract, recruit, and retain required members of the team not currently in place, and provide mentoring to junior members of the team.
• Train plant personnel and new employees.
• Support and foster an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging production staff to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the operation.
• Maintain all manufacturing processes in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
• Oversees planning and scheduling production utilizing Syspro (ERP/MRP) to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. Consisting of:
• Plans, prepares, & controls production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials into production work centers.
• Communicate with internal customers on a daily basis regarding order and shipping requirements.
• Reviews and tracks all jobs to ensure they are on time and the plant is level loaded.
• Oversees use of MRP daily and accurately assigns ship dates to planned orders based on capacity availability.
• Communicates effectively with customer service on any delays affecting on-time delivery.
• Formulates recommendations to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality, as well as for improvement of working conditions, the workforce, and overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Effective communication with internal customers including Engineering, purchasing, customer service, and quality.
• Manages all ad hoc metal fabrication assembly requests
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field and experience.
• 5 plus years supervision experience with good leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand drawing/print specifications.
• Must have strong decision-making skills that are supported by data collection, data analysis, and statistical process control expertise.
• Start-up and shut down of all machines and auxiliary equipment in the department.
• Must have good mechanical knowledge, hands on skills and computer skills.
• Preferred experience with Lean techniques including Six Sigma.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
