Summary of Job Duties:
The Program Associate position will be located at the Rohwer Research Station. This individual will be responsible for land preparation, planting, fertilization, irrigation, spraying, harvesting, data collection, data summary, data analysis, and a variety of reports for research, production, and the station. This position will oversee and provide management of agronomic research including communicating and cooperating with research and extension faculty to plan and place field research, demonstrations, agricultural events, and field days with minimal supervision. The selected candidate will be responsible for the management of support staff and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus three years of accumulative experience or Master's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Agriculture Business, or any related field. Experience with computer software such as Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications
Master of Science in Agronomy, Agriculture, Agriculture Business, or any related field. Experience in protocol development, trial initiation, data collection, analysis, and equipment operation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Working knowledge of various crops, soils, fertility, weed control measures, irrigation techniques, and harvest equipment. Possess skills in concise communication and problem-solving capabilities along with leading staff to maintain an efficient and functional research and production program.
